The kitchen and living area has a full-sized fold-out futon for additional sleeping space, TV/DVD player, microwave, refrigerator, stove, cookware, dishware, dining table and plenty of space to relax. Coffee and tea are provided. There is a grill in the private outdoor area behind the Bunkhouse.

The public roads in the area do not have heavy traffic and are pleasant for walking, jogging or bicycling. Bring your bicycles and enjoy exploring! The ten-mile-long Harlem Valley Rail Trail that runs from Millerton to Amenia is only a mile away.
Red foxes, deer, and a variety of bird species are commonly seen around the ranch. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
Broken Wheel Ranch does not offer horseback riding. All of the horses are privately owned. Guests are asked not to enter the pastures, barn, or arena, nor to feed the horses.
